CHICAGO:A 22-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly beating and stomping on a 21-month-old baby,Raiylana Vasquez to death. According to police statement,the alleged baby-killer was identified as Urel Vega who is the child's mother's boyfriend but not the child's father. As at the time of the child's death,Vega was minding the child,police said. Investigation revealed that the victim died from blunt force trauma caused by Vega. And in addition to beating the child,Vega allegedly stomped on the baby stomach. Raiylana was rushed to Holy Cross Hospital and pronounced dead within one hour of arrival,according to police statement. Vega is being held without bond and does not have legal representation at this time.
